Akkodis is seeking a for a Chemical Process Engineer job with a client in Rochester, NY. Must hold a Bachelor of Science degree In Chemical Engineering to be considered. Will commission process systems as part of a startup team at client locations throughout the U.S. Also responsible for providing ongoing client support at factory sites or via remote connection.
Salary Range: $100/year to $130/year; The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Chemical Process Engineer job responsibilities include:
· Develop Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs).
· Develop Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
· Perform calculations (heat loss, pressure drop, etc.).
· Develop mass and energy balances.
· Perform process system timing analysis.
· Prepare utility consumption estimates.
· Size and specify process equipment.
· Prepare equipment Request for Quotations (RFQs).
· Develop detailed process equipment schematics and assembly drawings.
· Prepare process system installation scope of work documents.
· Participate in process control system software development.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering is required
Minimum Five years’ related experience
Must have experience within the food, beverage, dairy or pharmaceutical industries.
AutoCAD drawing experience is required.
