\n\nJob Details:
\n• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM
\n• Patient ratios of 1:4-5 for both day and night shifts
\n• Every other weekend requirement
\n• Minimum of 2 holidays required during contract timeframe
\n• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
\n• Must be competent in arterial line management
\n• Required to titrate drips including Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin
\n• Must read and interpret telemetry strips independently
\n• Floating required to MedSurg or ICU for PCU acuity patients
\n• Navy blue scrub color required
\n• One day of unit-specific orientation provided
\n• Must pass open book exam during orientation with 90% score or face contract termination
\n• Care for adult patients with cardiac med/surg, dialysis, cancer diagnosis, vascular, sepsis, respiratory issues, stroke, post stent, and post pacer placement conditions
\n• Work with overhead lifts, portable lifts, vein finders, and bladder scanners
\n• Must be flexible, adaptable, and possess strong communication skills
\n• Serve diverse cultural populations including Hispanic and Somalian patients
\n• Chart using EPIC system
\n• Must reside more than 50 miles from facility and provide driver's license for verification
\n• Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove will result in contract termination
Facility:
\nThis acute care facility operates a 40-bed Progressive Care Unit with an average daily census of 24 patients. The facility is a Level 2 trauma center that focuses on patient experience scores, responsiveness, hospital environment, and communication about medications. The PCU provides care for adults requiring step-down level monitoring and intervention, with modern equipment and technology to support complex patient care needs.
